Ski was cutting out pretty bad towards the end.......water got in my fuel. Those last few trick were not rolls or anything...........Darin and still can't quite figure out what I was trying to do on those. The throw was OK. I just started doing any kind of take off wake w/in the last 2 weeks. That one throw traveled too far and I did not catch it in the air. The second throw was not high enough and did not go that far..........I'll clean it up

Motor is a standard stroke lamey pv cylinder w/ b-pipe and stock electronics. All in a Waterdawg Kustomz X-jet hull (90lbs or 108lbs w/ hood and bracket)

I can make a nice take off wake but am battling with consistency in hitting that second wave. I need to turn sharper back into the wake so I can get in the grove and hit the second wave at a better angle. I was more or less hopping over the first to hit the second. Lose allot of speed that way. Nice to see it on video.....thanks Darin

Towards the end of the night I did better at hitting that wave............keep the momentum up and don't hopp into it and I could cover allot of distance in the air. I think that is the ticket to throwing bigger, more dramatic tricks.

did the race gas domes make it feel so much stronger then before?i think thats were your feeling the power.:cool2:

no. I am going to drop it down to pump gas. I do like how clean race gas burns. Took the head off the other day and it was really clean in there. And this is my 2nd season on the motor. I could tell a difference just by looking at the motor but as far as power........that is marginal in comparison to 180-185 pump gas domes.

I think hopping into a setup wake is very essential. Every trick i do has its own specific setup wake... none of the wakes are the same.

I guess it depends on the trick as well. I could see where it would benifit you in a inverted trick or throw but 50/50 and sprung monkeys I think it would make them more difficult. My motor is also a old race cylinder so you need to keep the rpms up to stay in the torquey power band. the pre hop takes you out of the power quite a bit on my set up

You are correct, with the big throws, 50/50s and sprung monkeys there is no "hop" persay, but you dont ride directly into it...

I feel much more comfortable with the wake now. It is just a matter of feeling out the different agles of approach and hitting it consistently. Can't wait to try a sprung monkey off the wake :scratchchin: I was thinking about it tonight but just was not feeling it. It will be fun, I bet I get some good height
