RN pole on SN hull. Looks like washers solve the problem?

Hi! I have an RN pole I could use on my SN. I'd really like to try it but backwards compatibility to SN pole is important. Am I crazy to want to throw a million washers in to the gaps and call it a day? Even in some huge sloppy joe waves?

i have run the pole with washers, or i could make you delrin adapter bushings to make up the gap. will most likely still need to grind the pole or bracket or the pole wont go up very far, about waist high on me without grinding. i suggest doing it to the pole because the bracket isn't very strong to start with.

Pm me about that bushing idea, that's cool with me. I can see in mock up some issues bottoming out, but I have no problem hick grinding poop for -2 lol. I wanna try it.

Yup, thanks for the suggestion. Proper way to convert in stock;

No grinding, special bushings, looks trick, etc. IMO single BEST mod for a SN SJ.

I would highly recommend getting the conversion bracket and not bubba it up.

I think fyrhazard or whatever his username may have some of his bracket in stock and they're like 130$ i believe. Great option too. Not as fancy looking as watcons but still good.

Haven't used the Watcon, but I have a Hazzard bracket. It is a quality piece, and this is not bashing but be aware that you loose the pole kickstand and limiting features, meaning you will absolutely have to run a limiting rope or other solution to prevent ripping the bracket out of the hull when you go over the bars.

Same cable (SN or RN) will work.
