After 4 hours of sleep last night finishing my Krash I had the chance to ride the 2017 four stroke SXR for the first time.

Interesting ski. Very capable under power, heavy, but still nimble for it's size. With all the handling parts/mods it could be quite capable as a 60+mph race ski or a reliable rec ski for the lake.

Can't wait to ride it again when I'm not so dang tired, more videos to come!

You can tell it is part of the family.

This one wants to roll because it has a high center of gravity. But it likes to steer from the rear like the old ones.

There is a learning curve, but by the second lap I was able to hang off and carve a bit. Get low and accelerate through corners.

Can't wait to try it out with the handling mods. Needs a pole spring incredibly bad. Having to hold the pole up makes it difficult to corner well.

yea I noticed the pole sits totally flat from the factory. not sure if they all kawis and sj's do, as mine came with a modified 750sx pole spring so it helps a bit... but I can see it becoming fatiguing after a bunch of laps.

Is that a flat track race I hear in the background?

Ah yeah, my SXR has one. Whatever the technical term is...i needs something to hold up that damn pole lol.

No, motocross track. Quads were racing that day.

Quads - Sit down's of the dirt! lol

Right on, I want to try one of these new kawasleds! There's a few running around here locally, can't wait!

Thanks for sharing. Could you stand on it when it wasn't moving? Based on previous info it looks like you can. That would be a bit of a shame, as it takes satisfaction away from learning the machine. Still eager to try it.

I used to ride quads, all my dirt bike buddies make fun of me haha. Love motorcycles more though.

I honestly didn't try to stand on it unmoving. Will have to try that next time. It is pretty rolly with a high center of gravity so balance could still be an issue.
