Rpm related to my hood??

I rode my ski for a bit with no hood and i was pullin 7200 rpm i put it back on amd i only pulled 7060 i have adjusted my high speed screws both directions cannot get 7200 rpm with my hood on it seems like im not gettin enough air with my hood on any thoughts

i agree. no hood is the wave of the future...just get a really tall snorkel for your carb and pour foam in all around the motor...
its brilliant!

Does this kit come with the hood seal block off plate and the plugs needed to plug the holes where the stock latch used to be? If so, where do I paypal?

your hood does restrict air flow. open up your hood openings for better performance.

You could mount a pro-stock snorkel in place of your hood for some more rpm. :burnout:



Also your increased rpm might be from having the hood weight removed.

Try doing this with an almost empty tank of fuel and see if you get the same results.

Accurate measurements can only be attained when you're at the middle of the big lake.

Thats why open air flow hoods and mods are for superstock class racing because it influences like it did..

corey 140 rpms is huge. On my race ski, if im on glass a 50 rpm change is noticible.
