from what I've read this shouldnt be to difficult
I would like to put a dual breather rrp on my 1990 square; any thing unforseen I might need to know.

I realize its a little obscene to add a pole to a jet ski that cost less then said pole, but I gotta buy a new pole so why not? cant find a rn oem right now and plus their ugly

Will the breathers be capable of feeding a 61x62t jetmaniac motor?
I'de like to minimize air-in through the hood

well it is worth more than the hull but you would be right in thinking it is a good pole and probably the last one you will need to buy. If you need one then get it and slap that sucker on the old SN. it will also fit on your new hull down the road. i have been able to avoid buying a/m pole all these years. my feelings are hurt with the dis on the RN pole. i don't know if we can be friends.

I think that $100 OEM RN pole is so much better looking than that $1000 RRP.

It's best if you lay flat that pole mount area but at the very least, strengthen it.

Dual breathers are nice and all but I'd still run air through the hood. If done right, the SN hood can be a dry one.

like new from a dealer? it would be interesting to compare the oem price for bracket, pole, turnplate, bars, etc etc. it is probably close to some AM poles.

thats kinda what i figured haven't bothered pricing it.. just weighing options
I have gotten so much negative feedback about shortening my sn pole I have been looking for a used rn pole but my time is drawing to an end ( I wanna ride) so i was thinking new and I like the breather option, but stock-shortned sn pole is seeming more and more apealing I have it sitting about back ready to be cf'ed

IMO the X-metal pole is much better than the RRP and has a much better warranty.

Only downside, it's heavier than the OEM pole but so is the RRP.

I have the xmetal adjustable and really like it, best value imo out there, the only negative I have is the poor powder coating or what ever it it they come with. I reccomend planning on just painting it right away before you even mount it, going on third season with it and have moved the length a few timies to adjust rider position.
