I have only read about people ordering parts and not receiving everything, or parts missing. Never experienced it until now. A buddy is building up an XFS. He ordered the pole, turnplate, bars, etc etc.

We start installing the turnplate last night and I noticed the washers and bearings are not in the packaging. I start looking around and I had two sets in a drawer. No Problem but could have been one. Then we go to mount the Bar Mount and the 2 big bolts that mount it to the turn plate is missing. Again, luckily I have a decent assortment of hex head (Allen) bolts. They a tad long, but we can cut them if need be.........

Also what gets me, I asked chris if he ordered the steering stop. He did not, but why in the hell would this part not come with the pole???? You have to have it.

Ok, other than that I really like the steering setup. Very nice product.

I have noticed that some of their packaging will allow fasteners, etc. to fall out during shipping.

dealing with the same thing on my bros fr-2

his rideplate didn't show up with the ski.

he didn't order the part for the pole spring to lay on or the steering stop. we were assembling it and they weren't there. i asked if he ordered it and he said ''no, why would i order parts that are necessary to make things work...... '' i said you cant assume with rrp maaaaaan!

they really should just come with it.

back when i built my fr-2 my rrp steering didn't come with my bearings either.

i hate how rrp doesnt offer the package deal, when obviously your going to need that stuff. its just a way for them to nickel and dime you to death. The instructions aren't very user friendly either.

regardless, its an awesome product

Who reads instructions?

I have not heard too many complaints about RRP and they obviously sell a fair amount of stuff. Hopefully Brian from Thrust will have some input on these issues. He seems like someone that can take care of things.

I ordered a white FR2 back in October. It arrived 1 week ago here in the UK and when it did, it didn't come with the ride plate which I ordered.

Had to wait another 12 days to get my ride plate. Poor service in my eyes

great product....demand high > bad service....demand low > better service ?? .....

The saftey rod was wedged inbetween the cartboards of the packedge...I had to dig that out of the trash...loool

I'm not buying rrp stuff, not that its bad but dislike the notion you almost have to spend all your money in one place...

Yea, they have a bit of a monopoly going on. Like the RRP tube poles, coolest looking poles in my opinion, $1200? Hell no am I paying that. I'll go make the thing for a quarter of that price and that will have twice the adjustable length and look just as sweet, not to mention I can say I made it.

Though basic economics, greater demand means higher prices. Worse service means it's probably cheaper, and they have been able to cut down on service enough so that it meets the demand curve, optimum money for them then.

I agree with chris, poor packaging seems to lose parts once in a while. Still great products, and thats why I keep spares around.

Well I will address a few issues . Bearing have been missing from the last run and most of them were caught and bearings attached and this do to a us customs issue . As they didn't have a harmonized code for them . Hardware I can say I have installed hundreds and I can onl think of a few a few years. Back when I missed some . Steerstop since this is all based of Yamaha you can use Yamaha oem except on 2008 and newer . I don't want to get to deep in this but it clearly shows what the pole comes with. And if you were to throw steer stop in there when do you draw the line of what you don't .
I sell 2 times as many poles as I do steerstoos so maybe that is why .

Ride plates are sold seperatley do if you need one you have to order one and occasionally parts do get missed from orders I am sure it was unintentional .
