Im on the fences if i should swap in my buddies 10/16 over the 9/15 thats currently in my ski.

with the modded 701 the 9/15 seems like a great pair. Over the past months ive since made some decent upgrades in the power department... yet im still running the same 9/15 impeller. I dont notice any issue n ski still feels really snappy down low(so not sure what to do)

mods: BB 781 35cc domes, solas 144 mag, v-force II reeds, dual 38s, race gas, carbon limited pipe, protec grate, protec nozzle, lightened/drilled 61X flywheel, msd enhancer, JSS coil, etc....

Id have to borrow prop tool to swap them, so just seeing what others opinions might be(tho i know its an easy swap):bananalama:

cheers

I would personally try it. I was planning on running a 9/15, but found a deal on a solas pump and 11/17 hooker. I rode it with a TL on a stock 701, and it had a ton of kick.

so give it a go, its not like your low on the power to turn it.

hmm ok I may have to give it a go then

I just ordered a stubby cone for the Mag as well.

guess swapping impellers will give me another chance to inspect the solas mag anyways.

I'm assuming thats in your AM hull? Only reason I ask is that in my experience, the weight of the total package can have some bearing on what prop will work best.

I have a somewhat similar setup, no race gas, but 781BB TBM, Limited B-Pipe, Enhancer, Solas Mag and I didn't feel a world of difference between the 9/15 and the 10/16. I have the 9/15 on it now, but...... If you told me you swapped it for the 10, I'd have to take your word for it.

on the foot rocket yes...

I mostly ride flat water(river) but have recently been out on the lake michigan surf.

she fairs well as is but only issue ive noticed is recovery after a trick is slightly lacking.... To help with that i chopped few inches off RRP pole but i also chopped the ride plate shorter

So I thought I had ordered and was running a 10/16 but saw the box today and it said 9/15. So I guess I don't know. Sorry.

I believe it helped.. But hard to tell since I tested it in surf n I've only ever rode flat water.

I also added a freestyle pump cone to the mag n chopped ride plate shorter..

I plan to stick with the 10/16 for now. Ski seems to jump out the water pretty quick, I'm just working on getting big enough balls to throw so back flips
