Other Rusty crank

I just disabled my DASA 1100 and I was shocked when I saw the crank.
It has only been a year and it looks like I have been using it as a boat anchor.
I always blow out my boat and never leave the hood on. I use maxima super M and run cam 2 110 . I don't know what is causing this, any thoughts?

Do you fog the hell out of it for winter storage? It might of just had just enough moisture to lightly do that surface rust over the winter time.

Mine looked the same way it's not rust it's a film from
Maxima products I bet ur cases look the exact same way
It runs off with a rag doesn't it ?
