sacrificial anoide and flushing

D-Roc

I forgot!
so how do you guys flush the skis after riding? does the hotel have a garden hose to use. I have no anoide in my cylinder water jacket and wonder if it is really worth putting one in for a week of salt water riding.

I don't think it would be worth it for one week, it would be easier just to flush with salt-away

The anode and flushing the ski are for 2 different reasons. The reason to flush is to get the salt out and prevent corrosion and rust. I personally just hose the ski down for the couple of days and the do a good flush the last day or when I get home. The sacrificial anode is to absorb electrolysis causing deterioration of the metal of the cylinder. A couple of days riding in salt will be ok without one.

Just my opinion...

agreed- couple day's won't hurt. For those more anal... yea there's a hose they drag down to the back of the hotel. Think there also might be one across the street where a lot of folks will park their rigs/ trailers- sits adjacent to the put-put golf place.
