SBN carb needles

I just got some low speed needles from AJS and they dont thread in much... like they bottom out very quickly (half turn in) and I had to buy one high speed needle and when compared with the factory needle it was slightly shorter and not exactly the same pointed shape... Is this normal?

There is a difference between Hi & Lo adjusters in OEM Mikuni carbs and Aftermarket Mikuni. Sounds like you got the wrong ones.

Btw, I wouldn't thread that in further. :haha: The thread pitch is different.

Yep... the factory low speed adjusters are a fine pitch thread.
