SBT steering cable fitment

Will an SBT cable with part number 26-3403 fit a 2004 RN Superjet.

I think that part number might be for a squarenose but i need to confirm.

It is for a SN, but will work on a RN pre08 as well.

What, if anything, will I be sacrificing by installing in a RN? Less throw? Harder to route through the engine bay?

I'll be ordering a new cable but since I already have this one I want to use it for a weekend or two until the new one arrives.

You'll be just fine. Sq/n cables are about 3" longer than r/n ones. If you have a stock length pole , that gives you more clearance at the waterbox outlet

They have 1/2" less throw iirc, it's not a big deal as you should still be able to max out your steering

Installed the cable this morning and it worked. Still ordering the proper replacement though.

Fitment was not really an issue. This cable was about 3" longer than the original so to compensate I routed the cable behind the water box outlet instead of in front. I did feel a bit less throw but I really didn't spend much time adjusting it. I was able to go lock to lock on my steering (xmetal) and left it at that just to get back on the water.

The only real issue was that I felt the steering more sloppy. I'm not sure why but it's like there was more play in the cable then in the original. Actually affected my riding considerably.
