I'm going to school at the end of the week and right now am thinking of leaving the ski home. Last year I left it on my hitch hauler all first semester and that worked out fine, but this year I don't want it always on the truck since it'll be a pain and just get in the way. I talked to the schools recreation department and they said it'd be too much of a liability if I stored it with them, and I don't know anyone where I can store it at their house/work; storage containers look to be pretty expensive (at least over $20/month). Any ideas? Thanks.

I'd either do a cheap storage unit or try to make some friends that have extra space in their garage. I'll be going thru the same thing next year because I'll be moving and transferring schools so I can finish my degree. My plan is to get a small storage unit, buy a small enclosed trailer, or make a few friends so we can share a house with a garage. But if you are living in a dorm I see a storage unit being the best. Or just throw it on a beach tote and bring it up to your room. You just need to sneak it in.
