Scissor stand?

Those of you that own or have experience with scissor stands, are they worth the investment? Thinking about buying one for my main stand in the garage and on the lake.

Not great for a shop stand unless you build a dolly for it to sit on so you can roll it around.
I prefer a solid shop stand for the garage/shop. Scissor for the water.

Unless you want your pump full of debris from the beach use a Scissor stand. I set my stand on a furniture dolly in the shop to roll around.

I know I’m necroposting a bit, but how well do they hold with decent waves? I don’t mean crashing rollers, but say 1-2’ waves making their way to shore. I would guess a ski either gets floated or you have to set this up pretty high. Also where best to order one?

Where I use mine the shore has some slop to it and if rollers from boat come in it can rock the ski off.. only happened one time but now I put a short rebar in ground and tie my ski to it with a rope

You can make one out of pvc. Harborfreight has some cheap stands that might also work. Not sure I would trust them for out of water use though.
