i was wondering if an hx pump is interchangeable with an XP pump. i have a pump from a 96 or 97 XP with a 787... The story is i just bought an HX from a guy w/o putting the ski in the water. i tried to drive the ski and found that it wouldnt go over 5mph. The impeller appears to have slid back and is hitting the veins (i haven't been able to really look at it kuz the wife would kill me if she knew i got ripped off) I have a week and a half before our anual jetski vacation and am hoping to get a bit of help.
Jetski vaca for us is 10-15 of us cruisin around michigan to the great lakes. This year were hittin up Macinac Island, Mullet Lake, and Traverse Bay... (and not that anyone cares) but i have an 07 SuperJet and the HX was gonna be for my wife... She cant take the 2 hour trip around macinac on the standup kuz it literally beats the hell out of ya.
