I am in the process of fixing up a 97’ Yamaha Wave Venture 760, I noticed that the rubber seal that goes between the hull and exhaust duct was shot and it looks like the PO used RTV to help seal it up but failed. I can get a 1/8” rubber sheet on Amazon to cut a new gasket but I was wondering if there was a sealant that would hold up to the heat ( not sure how hot) to seal it up? Should I look at maybe 5200FC or use the rubber sheet to seal it up? Does anyone have any recommendations on a fix or solution?
