I'm done. I'm parting out my 2001 CR. I haven't touched this bike since I pulled the top end and found half a piston. It's getting parted out on ebay. If anyone needs a frame, or other misc parts, they'll be there.

I'm over MX anyway, too high a chance for injury, and it's just not fun to me anymore.

Psh, RIGHT! ha

The CR actually is going away. After looking at it 1/2 torn apart in the corner, I decided it was time to tear it all the way down and get it out of my garage. I need to raise money for Brazil anyhow.

But, when I rolled it out to strip down, all the memories of my first year of mx (this year) came rolling back. Trips to the track, but mostly the trips to Ocotillo. Hanging with the crew, riding all over the place. This sh*t is so damn fun!

So I made a phone call, and arranged to get a new to me RM 250 that a buddy had for sale. I'll have it in my garage tomorrow. Think I'm a little impulsive?? Maybe a little.

With that hump in the seat, there is no reason for you not to be WFO through all berms

The hump is definitely funny. Jared said he put it there to remind him to stay up on the tank at the track....or something like that.

Getting hurt really is a concern...but blasting through the desert is so much fun. The bike is a "for fun" toy.

dont part out the bike there is no money in it compared to parting out a ski you might make half of what you could sell the bike for. Nobody is gonna pay what stuff is worth. You wont get more than a few hundred for the frame no more than maybe 500 for the motor and maybe 500 for the rest of the stuff. NOT worth it. Put the bike back together and sell it whole. You'd make out better selling a bike with a blown top end than you would parting out a running bike.

Considering what I paid for the bike, it's worth it. It was a steal to begin with, and the bike was a turd. 500 for a motor, 500 for misc, and a few hundred for the frame breaks me even on what I paid....and I'm absolutely ok with that.
