shock through throttle cable??

saturday my ski didnt feel like running too well and im thinking its electrical.
though i just rolled a nerve but when it happened a few more times i confirmed electricity. :surprised:
why/where is it coming from?
what can i do to stop it?

Hahaha....that happened to me on Cuong's REV last weekend a few times. It's most likely a bad ground wire on your bilge pumps.
Make sure all connections on the bilge pumps are good, watertight, and that the Positive bilge wires are NOT touching any engine grounds

I had that going on when riding Hurricane Bill a few weekends ago, I switched off my bilge but that made no difference. I had to grab throttle in the face of 9 footers and kept getting shocked, but I just had to take it!

You can wrap your throttle lever in Electrical tape. it doesn't stop it completely but it will help alot until you can find out what's causing it.

My short was the exposed stud on the top of my JSS'd ebox, I haven't kept up with greasing mine and the corrosion had built up enough to jump to the rear case of the ebox. By the time i got it figured I had lost most of saturday.

mine did that a few years ago when my coil (spark plug wires) was going bad. the ski would run terrible and i kept getting a little tingle in my throttle finger.
