Super Jet shortening SJ RN pole, opinions on how much?

hello, i know that there are plenty of threads on how to shorten the pole, but my question is how much should i? are there any other 6'2" 240 lb riders out there that have shortened their pole and wish they had gone more/less? i am trying to get in to mild free style and i rode my ski for the first time (just finished building it) and it seems to have way to much weight in the rear probably because I'm on the larger side.

Looking on opinions of how much i should go, and maybe the "i took too much or i wish i took off a little more"

thank you in advance

Minimum of -4". At 6' 220lb i liked -6" on my RN the best. Also depends on where your footholds are, length of arms, ride stance...etc. You can always cut off more though, so I would say go -4" and ride it. If you need more its not hard to cut off another 2".

-4", when you say that, does that include the 1 3/8" inches inside the base mount? so i would measure 2 5/8" from base and cut?

Well you have to pull the pole out of the bottom bracket regardless, so for me, I removed pole from bottom bracket, cut 4" off and then put back into bracket with epoxy and riveted it back together. I later cut another 2" off and liked that better personally.

As with everything, you can always take off more, but can't easily put it back on. Also depends on your steering now and if you upgrade that as well
