Blaster Shortening throttle cable

im looking to shorten my throttle cable as the new trigger i bought lets it max out to the bar end when fully adjusted back. can i just cut it and recrimp/solder on the lug that goes into the trigger?

Install a throttle wheel on your carb instead.

It seems unlikely that an aftermarket lever does not allow you to adjust the slack out of the cable, I would look at it again. If you still can't make it work, do what Jetmaniac said and get an aftermarket throttle wheel like this one.
