Should I add kicktail and or footholds?

I have an old '91 SJ, mostly stock. Lived in SoCal when I bought it, and it saw saltwater almost exclusively for the first several years. I have been away from the ocean for 11 years now, and more than likely will spend the vast majority of my riding on lakes (though an occasional trip to the ocean is not out of the question).

I am getting ready to returf the ski, and am trying to decide if it makes any sense to add a kicktail or footholds. I don't want to spend more money and make more work than is necessary, but I also don't want to kick myself for not doing it while I was there if I find I want it later on.

I mess around with a few tricks, but nothing overly aggressive. I have never used anything but a wide open tray before.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Footholds!!! Nobody ever regrets it. I have never heard ANYBODY say, "I wish I didn't put in those footholds."

It will improve your riding more than anything else.

aint that the truth.. put my footholds in this past winter and my riding has gotten soooo much better & funner..

its worth the money and time installing it (im an office geek, if i can install em, anyone can)

3rd that, once you get em you will wish you had done it sooner and wont enjoy riding without them. I dont even like to ride newer superjets unless they have em
