should i be worried about towing this?

I have a single "TadPull" trailer that I converted to a double. the outer edge of each stand up lines up with the outside of each tire. I am going to pick up a ski so I pulled one off of the trailer. Am I going to be ok pulling this down the highway with only one ski on one side, and the other side empty? I don't have anyone to help me pull the other one off before I have to go get the new to me ski

Its a PITA to set up a bunk stop in the middle. I guess I could just strap it down like everyone else does. I just get ultra paranoid because I had a strap break once... I was really just hoping someone would come on and say they've done the same thing a million times and have been ok lol.

That sounds like how I've been pulling mine for a half year while my buddy's ski gets going. So yea is say you will probably be safe, just make sure your ski is on the trailer secure and you won't have a problem. Mine the bond rails are basically I'ver the fender.

Ha ha im still not reassured. Im gonna set the ski up in the middle and figure out a good way to secure it. Thanks for the help guys.

I've never had a strap break. At $2 each, throw them away when they look worn. Save new ones for stuff like this. Most important is running the strap in a way that it wont rub or kink. My triple trailer doesn't have a stop in the middle and we don't think twice about putting a ski there.

I never hit the brakes hard (but I know that I could). What's the rush?

Harbor freight - 1200 lb breaking strength. Ski only weighs 350#. Have to hit the brakes pretty dang hard to make that much poundage on a tight strap. If in doubt, run 2, but I think straps usually break from rub, no overloading.

my issue was mostly with setting up the bunk stop in the middle. I ended up just towing it with one ski on the side and the other side empty. No issues whatsoever. If anyone else is every worried about the same issue dont be.

I think it just depends on how high the ski is from the center of the axle. I have a dual setup and have towed one ski before when I don't want one sitting on the trailer by itself . Never had an issue. It is a thought in the back of the mind. My bunks are just above the top of the tire. Center of gravity is everything.
