Should I trade my SJ mod chamber, for the limited blaster?

I've heard the limited blaster chamber hits great on the X2 mod ski's. I know it will fit, and I know some of you guys have done it. What would the comparison be to the 701 mod chamber I'm currently running?
I've got the offer to trade my SJ mod, for the Blaster Limited and I want to make sure it's going to either benefit, or at least not hurt it any, as I know it's supposed to fit better. I would like to see a gain in the bottom end response. :fingersx:
Here's the setup
Small pin 750 bored to 780
Dual buckshot 46's
Lightened 650 flywheel
FP SJ Mod chamber
R&D Head 185 psi
SXR prop
Also any other little tricks I could pull like timing, etc..
So with my setup, I would think a limited chamber would be more appropriate. What do you guys think?

I went from 650 FP chamber (about the same size as the sj) and noticed a difference + the fitting is nicer. If it's a trade, I say go for it.

Do it since the blaster chamber is so hard to get now. You can always get another SJ chamber.
Your setup is very similar to mine. Try and MSD total loss ignition. Mine made an incredible difference.

We have my bro's small pin @ 7d advance. It made a night and day difference on the low end. Personally I wouldnt swap the chamber until winter (or probably at all). Last thing you want is to throw off your tuning/jetting while its still warm out.

Yeah I have mine advanced quite a bit, and it made a huge difference. I agree on not wanting to change something mid season, but I wouldn't think that going between the two chambers would cause a re-jet situation. I would think I could get it right with the screws, but either way I have enough jets to go up or down on either.

Blaster limited will give way more bottom, but if you want it to rap out you need to run it fairly hot.

Where are you having the problem? Lord mount, gas tank, or the chamber outlet?

I did get it, but haven't gotten to use it yet. My chamber doesn't have the stinger water input on it, so I'll have to have that put on. I blew the kawi engine up like two days before I got the damn chamber too, so I'm going to try and fit it on the yamaha engine in my ski this next week.

snagged a ring

I just did the same thing 2 weeks ago...pulled the cylinder replaced the rear piston and rings but not the front because it looked great,i had some water damage on the back piston from a blown head gasket.put it all back together modified a jet pro manifold for the blaster chamber but i still have to melt the gas tank to clear so i put the 650 chamber on and put in some new reeds.ran it for about 1 1/2 she kept shuting off on top end so on the way back it shut down one more time but then ran on only one piston.got towed back my buddies ski blew up really close to shore! When i tore it down the top of the piston on the intake side came apart right above the pin locaters for the rings.:261:.i guess thats what you call a snagged ring, right?

Yep. Same thing happened here.
I had the same problem with my 750 X-2 it ate the front piston ring I guess that is a common 750 kawi problem.
I suppose it is, unfortunately.
