Other Should x-h2o.com be for members only paying some amount ?

Most people in X are paying a small amount for extra storage for their messages
i suggest x-h2o.com be for members only : paying some amount in their register and from that moment an amount every year, provide them extra storage for their messages like now with the only difference that none spam or visit take advantage of the forum.

with this policy X-h2o.com will have verified members that help and sponsor X
exchange opinions and help each other and buy and sell parts
without people that want to take advantage of the forum by many ways .
ex. a person that nobady knows from here post a thread that sells something without having it
or without sending the part to the buyer .
also here in X all we exchange views ,everyone helps each other by posting a view and messaging each other .
but some guys that never post or exchange views just take views from other's thread without help the forum and the members .

i don't think that 2 or 8 dollars will be so much money for a person that loves stand up's support and use the X-h2o.com will not agree to pay from the moment that his message limit will the possible maximum .

Making the site a members only reduces response time, casual members, valueable knowledge, and therefore less popular. It also makes the members seem like they are stuck up and too good for everyone else. There are tons of people on this site that I would consider casual members that don't post very often but ride a lot. To exclude them because they don't want to pay to post once every blue moon is a really bad idea IMO. $5-$10 is a drop in the bucket but the principle is the kicker and you'd burn a lot of bridges that way.

If you're worried about buying from a less than reputable seller, $5-$10 won't change their attitude and make them more honest. Best advice is treat every seller as a shyster and take the necessary steps to avoid getting burned...at least until you have heard lots of positive reviews.

Interesting theory but it's not going to fix people ripping people off. Keeping the free option brings fresh blood into the mix. People who want to say "hi wazzup" that could become strong supporters of the sport shouldn't be scared off by a few bucks when the rest of the internet is mostly free.

some talk some don't ;they need the knowledge too....... now in the FS section I think some more security would be nice.
but I cant think of anything fullproof just dont buy from people who arent "regulars" and see how others seem to feel about them. buying off here has a risk factor for sure, but they can only get away with it a few times on said account. so they constantly have to make new accounts to take advantage of more people, then they have recent join date

Why not just add a buyer and seller rep point system similar to ebay.... but then again the admin doesn't want to convert this site into a marketplace. I like the community feel of this site compared to the others

Good Idea. Could get crazy when selling something though. You might get 100 chat windows pop up with people calling DIBS!

I ran a chat on here for a long time and it got used right at the beginning but then died quickly.
