I'm looking to purchase my first stand up ski and have currently been looking at the 750 sx/sxi. I was hopping to get a thread started of your 750 pictures and info. Any advice for a first time buyer would be appreciated ?

I just picked up an SXi Pro a month ago. I haven't built the ski, the work was done by the previous owner. But the ski is mint and I can't wait to ride it, here's a list of what's done so far.

-0 Degree bars w/odi grips,locks and plugs

Just picked this up about a month ago. 2001 SXi Pro. My first standup and so far only got to ride it for about an hour. Modded by previous owner.

Are you a beginner? Have you ridden a Stand up before? Maybe once and got hooked? That is what happened to me and I went and bought the Baddest MOFO I could find.....Oh boy what a mistake! I bought a race/buoy ski. The thing was a light switch, either ON or OFF. Here are some pictures:

Don't ask me anything about it because I did not "get into" this ski, I sold it shortly after because I hated it. I am not trying to bash Kawasakis here, the reality is that I was a beginner and this was just too much ski for me. The monster would not idle smooth, I could not ride this thing recreationally....but it LOVED full speed, it would scream like a pig on fire at full throttle.

I have moved onto a Stock Superjet since and I am currently adding a Pipe and a Head for more power as I have reach that point where I need more power now.

I feel there is great satisfaction to "grow" with your ski in the beginning. In other words as you get better and need more power you do the Mods to your stock ski yourself learning a lot in the precess.....

Buy what you want just be careful what you get into....

I'm a beginner and just looking for something stock and clean! Maybe a pipe but something reliable that I could modify myself as I grow with the ski (you said it best).
