Single carb vs dual

I recently picked up two superjets. One sq nose with a SBT 62L single carb and riva pipe. It also has a intake grate, ride plate and impeller. The other is bone stock 01 with dual carbs. Both skis run really well but I would have thought the sq nose would pull harder out of the hole. Would a single carb be holding it back? Or is it just tuning? On the water they seem about the same as far as top speed. Any ideas?

Tuning, impeller, compression, porting, etc. If the only thing different was the carbs the hole shot would be pretty close.

You could have two skis same year and setup, absolutely identical and one would run better than the other, why because that's just the nature of the beast. The other weekend I rode 2 brand new bone stock 2014 superjets, one was a turd and other wasn't too bad for being stock
