Any way possible for users to disable the site censor under User CP?

I understand this censor was put in place to make the site more pleasant for everyone without taking away from it at the same time, but it does get annoying from some of the less offensive words.

Not really a big deal, but figured it would be nice to have the censor default on for everyone and if they would like to turn it off more power to them. :censored:

Wouldn't that negate the effect of having the censor?

I've said it quite a few times, I have kids that like to read, so they sit with me quite a bit plus they like the smileys, and since I'm the primary person that works on the site, it needs to stay clean enough for me to view it without worrying what my kids are going to see/read. No, it won't be 100% clean enough but it works well the way it is, and it's staying that way as long as I work on the site.

have the censor default on for everyone
AKA: If you dont do anything you still see the :) nothings changed.
If one clicks a check mark (just for them) in their profile then you can read things like "That :):):):) was awesome" without getting the smileys.

Just a suggestion a few of the sites i like to visit have this option.

They must have different censor software because the way vbulletin's works is when you hit submit, it changes the letters and stores them in the database that way.

I might look into it later just to make sure.
