I'm not debating what either ski is best at, we all know. I'm just trying to figure out if anyone can ride both ski's at a high skill level and do justice to both types of riding. Personally I don't think I could do it coming off the X2, it messes you up for riding stand ups with the narrow tray. That seems kind of like a personal question. Thats going to all be based on opinion and no facts.
Can someone race the SXR at the races, then transition to the SJ for weekend riding and wave jumping including freestyle? Or are you never going to reach your full potential as a rider by switching back and forth.
Thanks BK, thats just the answer I wanted to hear. I'm trying to get my brother involved in racing and he currently has an 05 SJ, but if he gets hooked will want an SXR to be competitive.I race SXR and compete in freestyle on my SJ. If I have a race right before my freestyle run I have to go out and just ride the SJ for a minute, it makes it feel really light and squirly. But only takes a second to get acclimated to it.
Here's a fact:
Race the SX-R all you want but you'll never be able to outrun me. :skull2:

I, of course, would go and school you all but this unwaveringly nasty case of crabs has me sidelined (fortunately for you all) for the time being.
So I cannot go and thusly will not be "warming up the bus" as I usually chant.
