Skat-Trak 5-8 and a welded driveshaft

Sooo pulled my pump to put a new (to me) wear ring. Pulled the old wear ring and noticed 5-8 stamp on the impeller, also noticed what appears to be a welded and ground down driveshaft. Anyone have any advise? Change it, leave it, trade it, burn it... Ski was a 650 now has a 701 w/ protec pipe and a few other mods.

That's factory they were 3 pieces the drive shaft then welded all together.

Well that makes me feel better about the shaft. But what about this prop... I can't even find a shred of info on it.
