I need a head count for Septmeber 30/October 1st ride.
I am trying real hard to organize 2 wakeboard boats for the weekend to make double up wakes for several hours on Saturday and Sunday. Also working w/local Oakley rep
on give-away stuff, and 2 local bike/watercraft dealers on
give away stuff. Also workin on a couple of BBQ joints tryin to get them to donate food for Saturday night. PLEASE keep in mind here-I'm trying-but have nver done anything like this before-it may all backfire in my face. I keep using the spring 'RONNY RIDE' as a benchmark and I know I can't make this as good as Lanier. Any and all ideas are welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No worries about the other stuff, that just takes the fun out, more work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will post specific directions this week-mile marker 304 on I-65 then bout 5 minutes to park.

Thanks guys. It looks like I am about 3.5 hours away. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it. I just need to find a place to stay. Any good hotels in the area?

Gil Is A Squirrell-there-I said it

OK-on the topic of the 2 wakeboard boats on 9/30 and 10/1

I have full use of the 2 boats that are brand new and 50,000ea. but do not
have drivers for the boats-honestly-I don't know anyone locally that I trust
to operate these boats that are not mine-this all seemed like a great idea till
I got to thinkin bout the whole liabilty thing-then consulted my mentor-Big Kahuna-did I just say mentor???? dammmmit bobby-oh well-he agrees that the liability would be huge-if I was rich-wouldn't care-but I is a broke azz beyotch w/it comes to that kind of $.
Please don't shoot me-just not sure that the 'what if' is worth it. Worst case scenario-pretty sure I can have a buddy that owns a boat hang out w/us and make wakes-we will just have to teach him how to SLOW down!!!LOL

Dude I hear where you are coming from. I don't know if it matters or not, but I've been driving ski boats and tons of other boats my whole life and I could volunteer to drive for the day.

Hell, either way we'll have fun. I wouldn't worry about it. I'll come with or without the boats.

Thanks for throwing all of this together. I'm sitting here jealous of all the florida guys back at home riding Sebby this weekend and it's nice to know us landlocked guys can still throw a freeride together.:arms: :arms:

If we only hit it for a few minutes, might be ok, but when you stretch it over a length of time....... well, either the cops will show up, or someone could get hurt........
