SN exhaust long hose/waterbox

Looking for info on switching from the SN oem waterbox to a RN or RN fit a/m waterbox.

-Did you change out the SN long hose from waterbox to rear outlet?

-Or did you cut the SN long hose and use a section of hose and size adapter to fit?

-Or what?

Trying to help some customers through the process. We bought a SN to check out fitment but haven't had time to try the options yet. Thanks for any help.

I always ran a SN FPP alum waterbox in my RN because it was 5 times lighter than OEM alum box and many other A/M boxes.. So Im sure the RN box would fit in a SN.
As far as the 2.25" hose going on 2.50", yeah some kind of adapter or best bet is to swap to a RN 2.50" hose??

the outlet on the RN box ends up very close to the hull and will need a very short 90 to fit. it'll still rub and may not fit

Ive used a RN waterbox on a squarenose and used the oem squarenose exhaust hose. It is nearly the same ID as the oem RN hose, just a thinner wall IIRC. You can heat it slightly with a heat gun and it will go right on. I've done it several times.

Did you cut the SN hose at all?

I don't recall cutting the square nose hose, IIRC it worked just fine as is​

Swapped the RN waterbox right into the hull with no other changes. Might be some photos in the thread in my signature.
