sn steering cable tips?

Send it to http://push-pull.com/ and have them make you a new cable. Cheaper and stronger then sbt etc.

Unscrew the ends and little nuts and then pull it through.

So how does the thruhull seal work?

Is this what you are asking about?

You pull the plug out of the boot, and it has splits in it so you can pop the cable out. Then you slide it through the remaining large opening.

No the pipe it runs thru right before the pump I have just heard some people say make sure you put more silicone in the hole after putting a new cable or it will leak.

Ya I have asked on a few different forums but no one seems to know.

On the thru hull fitting in the pump tunnel there is a rubber seal the nut compresses to make the seal, if it's bad or cut replace it. As an extra precaution I use silicone on the inside of the hull where the cable goes into the tube.
