SN Turfing Siderails over Plastic ones ?

so you just turf over the lip ? or do yoy flatten it with fiberglass ?

You mean where the bondline meets? I took a belt sander to mine and straightened the two out. I filled any gaps with that super quick epoxy in a syringe. I turfed to the edge and then cut the turf at an angle.

I think I dont mean where the bondline meets I mean if you take the siderails off the remaining sides are not even there is a little lip where the siderail where previously mounted, do you even that or just turft right over ?

Take the stock side rails off and install flat hydro-turf strips underneath the side turf for extra padding.

What technique do you use to cut the turf at a angle and keep it consistent?

Is this the area you are talking about? The armrest area? If so then heck yes put you some padding under there before you turf it!! It makes it much nicer!!

Here's a couple pics of my black ski I did a couple weeks ago. I used the 3/8 or 1/2 inch (whatever the heck it is) hydroturf padding first. I only put the padding where the side dropped down. Then I took some 150 grit to it and shaped it to conform to the ski. I then turfed all the way up to the lipped edge. It looks almost smooth, but the padded area is actually a tiny bit higher. If this isn't the section you are talking about, I have some pics of where the plastic moulding at the bondline was also.
