So how many roll around stands does a person need ?

In my case that number seems to be always exactly one more than I have .

I had two metal stands I made from leftover pieces from the two flip stands that I made, then I built a wooden one, a friend of mine was getting out of Seadoo repair and I bought four from him. Then someone gave me another wooden one.

Then I bought a beach stand , I bought two industrial carts from a guy and cut those down to make two more roll around stands, then the place I was doing sub work for sold their business and I bought three more from them.

When I started this 650SX build I built one more from some kind of Aluminum bath seat base, now I am building one more , not a lot of building to this, remove four pieces drill four new holes and screw some bunks on it and a coat of black Rustoleum paint.

Here is where I started at, it won't hold a 600 + lb sitdown but my 230lb a$$ can jump up and down on it and it doesn't budge so it should hold a standup just fine.

Second pic is the one the 650SX is sitting on I wouldn't really call these two roll around stands ,if I did actually need too roll around I would need much larger and better casters.

They would also make great in water stands because the weigh next to nothing and they won't rust .

On a sidebar if you haven't if figured it out yet I don't throw anything away , not if it has value and can be repurposed .

These are the pieces I removed from the stand, to you I am sure they look like junk, to me they look like hooks and so now they are exactly that.

a quick spray with vinyl dye makes them non junky and a drill and a ratchet make them sturdy hooks to hang an extension cord and two life jackets, the life jackets have been an ongoing struggle, that struggle is over.

Bonus points if you noticed the dishwasher silverware holder on the left side of the life jackets, it has many uses and I have two of them mounted up in there.

That one holds small containers of screws, parts and some q-tips for carb cleaning.

Scuffed it up with 80 grit on the DA sander mostly because I was too lazy to clean it, hit it with acetone then black Rusto Liam, I have to go get some lag bolts the new holes have already been drilled.

Maybe 16 is the magic number , who knows anyway it's done and done , the bunks were salvaged from a trailer I am redoing , they are not the prettiest but they were free, solid and already carpeted , I found some 4 inch lag bolts with washers in my stash , the total cost on this stand is a whopping zero dollars.
