I was going down the road and I passed a double trailer with a 650SX setting on it for sale. I need a good double trailer so I turned around and went to look at it. The trailer is a nice galvanized LONG brand big enough to carry two 3 seater couches, but the real find was the 650. As I approach the ski I notice the worn and faded stock pads and turf that the owner said "had been upgraded for racing". He had also treated the ski to a nice dark blue paint job, courtesy of Home Depot latex and a brush. The ski took 2 days to paint or so I was told. The best part was the powerplant which has a great race pipe(stock), race carb(also stock), it has been "bored out to a 800", and was upgraded to the race cam. All these great parts and it still runs on 87. I could not believe I had found such a treasure.

The guy wanted $1500 for both and would not separate. Needless to say I walked.

If the trailer was worth $300
the 650sx makes the package worth a total of $250
some people really think highly of their junk:shrug:

If you watch Craigslist religiously, you can get such great deals on trailers from time to time.

Up here we'd easily get upwards of $2000 for something like that - Name brand trailers alone get $1000-$2000 depending on quality and size/condition.

I have two 1999 GP1200's for sale on a Northland two place trailer with a locking box and the wide tires. And everyone wants to buy my trailer for their ski's?

"come on I'll give you $1000" Come on I'll give you $1500" - WHAT am I suppost to do with two GP's - lay them on the lawn?

And as stand up as few and far between - that ski would easily sell for $1000.

I wouldn't have been able to contain myself. I try to be a nice guy and be non-confrontational but I would feel obligated to state everything I know and rub it in that guys face... stupidity is my biggest pet peeve.

it has been "bored out to a 800", and was upgraded to the race cam.

That would have been a sweet deal. You know how much money must have been spent to bore out a 650 to an 800 and machine the block and head to put a "race cam" in a two stroke plus the added cost of a timing chain and all the time to tune it. Damn thats a $10,000 motor. As my wife says "you laid an egg" You better go back and see if the guy still has it.

:joke: hahahah what a tool that dude is.
