Other Solar panels in handle poles?

Saw these on ebay, thought it was quite interesting that they have solar panels in the handle poles.

I read somewhere that a deal between PJS and Kawasaki went bad, and Kawi took them down.

Nice lookin skis and PJS made some great parts with innovative ideas for the Kawasaki's; too bad they put them out of business. The solar panels would be a great addition if you were running a total loss setup.

They were accused of copying Kawasaki's designs. $6000 seems like a lot, unless you're a kooky collector. Nice skis for their day, though. Top speed and handling were pretty respectful for the time.
