Closest public lake to me is Wolverine so I got there to practice. Weekends I'll usually go
to one of Orchard/Cass/Union Lake.

Where do you ride? I try to limit my driving because I have a damn lease and wayyy over miles already haha

So between my work and family schedule I don't get much time to ride, but when I do, I usually ride all over as I don't usually care how far I have to drive since I get to ride so infrequently. However I would say that historically I spent most of my time on Belleville lake and Lake Erie launching. I have only been on orchard lake once since I moved out to Farmington hills 3 years ago and that was a bad experience since the cops busted out balls. Lucky we got out of there with no citations but is was an annoying experience.

Much like you, I also don't know anyone in the area that rides stand-ups and I usually have to drive a ways to hang out and ride with the guys that I had been riding with for 10+ years. I may be going out to Lake Erie tomorrow with some friends down there and it is by far my favorite place to ride. You are more than welcome to join me/us if you would like. It is about a 45 min drive to the launch ramp from my house and we could car pool of you would like as I have a 2 place stand up trailer and only one ski. If you are interested in joining shoot me a PM.

In addition, let me know if you also are looking to go out after work hours during the week as I could try to shoot up to wolverine straight from work when my schedule allows for it.

What happened on Orchard lake? Why did the cops bust balls?

Yeah I might be down to carpool. What time you heading out? I've never rode on Lake Erie. Why is it by far your best? I know a lot of people love riding there so just curious.

Gave me a hard time about my MC numbers not being exactly 3 inches and in block letter font and no fire extinguisher. Pretty much Petty harassment.

Erie is just big and a great workout. The water is clean and crisp and the you have every variety of water from glass, to chop to large rollers.

Not sure what time but usually leave here around 10am.

And they just kept us there to prove a point, When we were trying to leave. They launched their boat just to come get us and said we were riding recklessly.

Lol how else are you supposed to ride? I guess I've never had a problem with the cops there. Usually just one fat guy trolling around doing nothing. But that's back when I was riding my couch.

If you remember they never even launched their boat as they just parked and waited for us to come back into the launch ramp and busted our balls there.

I have not been back since so things could be better there now and I can possibly chalk up that experience to bad luck and bad cops with nothing better to do. It could be better now and I would give it another go if I had someone to ride with out this way.

It's only 15 min from my place so I'd be down whenever during the weekends and after 5 on week days. I'm headed out to wolverine right now to go dick around.

Not too far from me it sounds like! I'm out in Utica but ride lake st. Clair north channel most of the time with a few other guys on the X that I'v know for a wile!! plus lake vile, and rarely lake Orion! Lately no one wants to ride so my Sj I just picked up is just sitting in the garage. :(
