ok so my ski died i didn't have spark so i changed spark plugs,wires,caps,coil its all one unit in the sxr s,Still no spark so changed the whole electrical box out and the ski ran fine and then i got into the water and a big wake or bouncing around too much would kill it and it would start right up???? so my crankshaft sensor is bad and my cdi ….
spark problem need advice/ski dies after i swapped out whole electrical box?

Take off your flywheel cover and check the pickup, it will get metal debris stuck to it sometimes.

Anybody else have any idea on why it would be running so great but randomly and intermittently just dying? It starts right back up after and runs good again. Terminals are tight on the battery
You might want to check the male end of the pin connectors where it plugs into the cdi unit ,i had one of the pins one break once .the pin was stuck in the connector so it would still work intermittently .a real head scratcher to trouble shoot .but it would cut out as you are describing on a landing or a jolt .may be worth a look

Same thing happened to me too I am now searching for an OEM cdi igniter I tried one of those chinese Venon aftermarket CDIs on ebay but made the ski very hard to start. I dont blame the CDI but think it didnt like my TBM total loss flywheel any body got an oem cdi ? 2004+ try parts wanted section

Sounds like the coil to me. My friends was doing the exact same thing.
