I just picked up a 1100 Kawi STX couch and thought it might be a good drivetrain to use in my Sport Cruiser. Ive seen a few X2's on here running this motor and the conversion doesnt look to extremely hard. Just wanted to see what you all thought of the idea.

I don't think there is any room for the engine to go forward in that hull at least not without some major nasty bodywork.

Im going to try sit it in there and see for myself that it doesn't fit . I didnt get a chance to mess with it tonight. Ill post some pics.

I fixed it for you, just for general info both I and Sfl have owned and modded Super Chickens for years before Laserman even knew what they were. The difference is we did not make it our lifelong goal to post each and every single mod we ever did to our Super Chickens:bigok:

I have revised my thinking ,all those who want to try shoving an 1100 into a SC should do so immediately ,please, spare no expense either.

i'd be interested to see if this works .. i picked up an SC last year and it would be neat with that much BRAP!

the bottom of that ski is so flat it would be down right insane. We have a 750 with minor mods in one of ours and it's plenty fast for that flat bottom.

what is the most power some one has in one and why ?? we pull tubes with
ours, works good .. a 1100?? in one.. will it even turn under heavy power ??

i just got a one with pink on some girl brought in for me to repair.. I never new they made one with factory pink?? I not water testing that one??

I was going to try this but it would't fit without major cutting so I eneded up putting in a PJS Viper 9000 800cc motor in it. It ripped without a proper tune and without proper pump setup until the hull split and sank. I have a new one and just got all my parts ready to do another. Should be done in a month or 2 max

This time:

New Viper 9000
Coffmans Pipe For the SC
PJS Exhaust manifold
Jetinetics Aluminum Charging Flywheel
12 Vein SS Magnum Pump
10/18 Skat Trak Impeller
close to 50 Lbs Lighter
Ful polished Top Loader Intake Grate
Custum built Ride Plate

Once again you post something you know nothing about.

You have no idea how long I've been modding skis, junior!

Keep your attitude over on OFFTOPICTODAY.com, will you?

SFL has a nice Superchicken. I have had several.

It wouldn't be to hard to accomadate a bigger engine - it would just need a little galss work. It would probably end up with a hump in the middle like a car has.

Don't believe it can't be done just because someone on here CLAIMS it can't be done. It just might require some thinking and effort.

Chris "f'n" Hagest here in Havasu has a SC with a 800 motor/dry pipe and some mods. it does over 50mph.

From what I understand, he guted an SXR for the project, and now has a 11-vein MAG pump in it as well.

This season, mine is getting the 6-vien Stainless Steel MAG pump with a pump stuffer, and whatever prop IMPROS recommends for it.

I also have a dual44 carbed Yami 760 engine on a Kawi bedplate I can't seem to sell - I've been thinking about sticking that in there just to try it out.
