So I finally got out of the hospital! After I broke four ribs and punctured my lung they missed an infection that started and almost took me out for good. They had to do an immediate open thoracotomy. Basically cut my rib cage take out my lung and clean out the scar tissue an infection in my chest cavity. While they were in there they accidentally severed an artery in the back of my heart and I started bleeding out and was not clotting. Finally my blood clotted after they gave me several bags of plasma and a slight blood transfusion. They had to cut on me for so long they put me into a drug-induced coma for four days because of the trauma my body had sustained. While I was in the coma my temperature shot up to 104 had to put me on ice and an air-conditioned blanket to bring my core temperature down so wouldn't fry my brain. Unfortunately one of the drawbacks from the surgery and this accident is that I've lost half of my lung so now I only have one and a half lungs pretty bummed out but I am still alive! All I can say is thank God I'm alive life is precious always always be careful and ride as safe as you can and don't assume riders around u have a clue to what there doing!
