So, my ski will start, but only once out of 10 or so tries. Getting the click. Took apart lanyard and cleaned. Putting back together and metal ring that holds down start button fell into hull behind gas tank. Do I need to find or get new one? Also, contacts were dirty, but still getting clicks. Used jumper cable to rule out ground. Guess I need new relay, but looks daunting to mess with ebox on lift. Unfortunately, no trailer. Advice? Please and thankz

Yes, loud click is normally a bad relay. Find the metal ring if you want to use your current start stop switch. Otherwise a new Yamaha one is about $129
