SX/SXi/SXi Pro Starter bolt holes striped

The bolt holes on on my case the hold my starter on are stripped out. Ive been using a bunggie strap but i don't trust it in the river( Not good if I cant turn my ski over) So i have some options a. should i get the holes heli arced and re tap them B. drill them and epoxy stainless inserts in the holes? B seems like less work but i dont want to sacrifice anything so what do you guys think i know where to get the inserts so thats not a problem

drill all the way through and put nuts on the ends of the bolts..... unless youre talking kawi

howd i forget that its a kawi 789 with 650 electronics

probably the same way that i did not see that this was in the sx/etc section.... it happens.

you can helicoil the threads, or do what ive done (choice a)..... weld, drill and tap.

I just Dont want to take My baby To some smelly dirt bag welder and have him set it on the floor

the floor wont hurt your engine.

id watch over him. you dont want him to do all the welding at once as this will overheat/distort the cases and possibly the seals.

he will need a 'waterboy' to keep things cool.

on second thought, id helicoil, or timecert it.

i did mine while the cases were apart.
