I always spin/extend mine out and apply grease to tail fitting, center body and snout. Other times I've used oil if out of grease and I seal the FW cover with dielectric grease on the gasket or hondabond.

Sorry, missed ur reply. Standard grease is for reducing mechanical friction between parts where dielectric grease is used to provide a barrier against electrical current loss and corrosion at exposed connections/terminals. Dielectric grease feels to have a higher viscosity and is less messy IMO for helping seal mating surfaces from water intrusion.
