Starter Motor Bendix Need Lube

Guys , about to fit new starter motor bendix. Do I fit as it came out of the box , or grease / oil it up.... Thanks.

I always spin/extend mine out and apply grease to tail fitting, center body and snout. Other times I've used oil if out of grease and I seal the FW cover with dielectric grease on the gasket or hondabond.

Thanks , what`s the difference between regular grease and dielectric grease.... ?

Sorry, missed ur reply. Standard grease is for reducing mechanical friction between parts where dielectric grease is used to provide a barrier against electrical current loss and corrosion at exposed connections/terminals. Dielectric grease feels to have a higher viscosity and is less messy IMO for helping seal mating surfaces from water intrusion.
