Hey, guys. A small bit of advice please.
What size would you recommend boring out a standard 2006 Rn superjet engine. I'm looking for as large as it can go without inevitable breakdowns/engine blowing?
Where in the UK is recommended for doing such a job.
Thanks in advance for any answers.

84mm is generally considered max bore. 83 would be the max I would go, leaving you (hopefully) 2 overbores. But, you would notice more difference with porting, rather than simply an increase in displacement!

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to port the engine too, when I get it back from getting it bored.
Looks like 84mm it is then.
I have an atp2 girdled head. Why would the engineer ask what domes it has? What domes would you guys recommend?
Thanks in advance.

If you go to 84mm you don't have any overbores left so if you endup seizing it or blowing a top end, you're gonna have to resleeve it... I've never ridden 83mm compared to 84mm so I can't speak from experience, but I doubt that little extra displacement is gonna be worth having zero overbores..

use a professional for machine work and port job, use the engine professional's setup to match up dome size for the porting and what fuel your running

There's no one I would rather send my engine to get work done by than one of the professionals on here that are really passionate and really know these machines inside out. The problem is that I love in N/W Scotland and the vast majority of guys on here at from the states. #Toofaraway

Well, are you on a very tight budget? Because I still don't think shipping a set of cylinders would be that bad.
