Super Jet Stock SN handle pole strength

1990 sn fresh 61x all stock 201 grate and skat impeller.

So I've put 60 gallons of fuel through the ski since I've moved to Lake Norman. My riding seems to get better every time I ride even though it's hard to get out of bed the next day. Getting good at turning hard and carving. Dabbling a little with trying to sub and nose stab.

I'm concerned about my pole breaking. It's all stock plate, bars and pole. I'm a big guy 6'2" 235lbs and scared of breaking of the pole and getting stabbed a jagged piece of fiberglass.

Anyone see a pole break under mild circumstances with a heavy rider?

Broke mine doing a small jump and landing sideways. (6' 240) Get a pole limiting rope and it will help. Unless you hit a wall at a high speed I doubt anything will stab you.

I am surprised a 1990 SN still has the stock pole
they are tough as a limp noodle.
But they break down low by the pivot point so you wont get stabbed
run it until it breaks and then upgrade!
and welcome to NC!
