Stock squarenose water bypass question

I'm getting an old stock 650 squarenose ready to ride in the surf next weekend in Texas. I'm pretty much all set, but it worries me that there is not pisser in the stock set up and I'd REALLY like to know if the cooling system gets clogged before the pistons melt. I have all the pieces, but I can't quite figure out where to T-off (which I'd like to do after the head). Where should the T go?

Put the t in the line coming out of the head that goes to headpipe on the exhaust. Ive done this on a 650 that I used to have. Made a little increase in power but not much and you can see that you have water flow threw you motor.
