Further, Google cache shows the owner of the phone number in that Craigslist listing trying to sell that very same, blue 2003 SJ Freestyle hull for $500 five months after it was purportedly stolen.

I thought I remember they found 2 bare hulls.. I would assume that's what he was selling. There was a post about it on the X when it happened.

10-17-12 SXR and SJ hulls, stripped, are found. Link
02-27-13 Blue SJ hull is listed for sale with contact number 702-591-9372
05-10-13 Someone with the same number 702-591-9372 creates the Craigslist post linked in the OP, stating that the SXR, SJ, and four unknowns were stolen on 10-05-12.
06-03-13 The OP links to the CL post
Think about it for a few seconds and let us know if anything at all about that seems strange or out of order.

His ski was stolen, they found the hulls, he got his hull back, then he sold his hull because its all he got back... I see nothing suspicious.

So three months after he sells the hull, he posts a CL add saying that the skis were stolen eight months ago and he is looking for them.

Oh, I just re-read it. I assumed he was trying to find the people responsible with the ad. Could be the original craigslist ad that he keeps bumping... Either way the situation sucks

Hulls are found shortly after they are stolen. Blue SJ hull for sale a couple months later. 3 months after that, the same guy posts a CL ad saying the skis were stolen eight months ago and he is looking for them, specifically mentioning the blue SJ. AFTER it was found and listed for sale by the same person.
