Striped EME motor mount

Hey guys, I'm finishing up a full rebuild on my 2016 EME aerial 8. I'm still waiting on my cylinders from the machine shop so I started getting everything else ready to I can just drop my motor in when it is back together. When installing my motor mounts I found out that I have a striped motor mount! It is one of the inserts that is carbon fibered into the bottom of the hull. Has anyone else ran into this? What would be the best way to fix this? Can I just drill and tap it to the next size up? Maybe a threaded insert. I have tried to get a hold of someone at EME but have not had any luck yet. Any advice would be a huge help. I would like to be back in the water this weekend. Thanks

I had that happen on a WDK rev hull years ago.
I just slammed a 3/8 bolt in there and its good.

I would helicoil it. The bigger bolt should work fine, but then you have an odball bolt which is a mild inconvenience, so I'd helicoil it.

Thanks for the advise guys! It's all set now. Drilled and taped to the next size up and used a hell coil. Hopefully I'll get the motor back in and be on the water this weekend.
