I have come to a crossroad in the past couple of years. Do I want to sell all the ski's or hold on to them. I may never be able to purchase these types of jetskis again given the current market etc.
But I haven't ridden in over a year and have no desire this year as of now. I am not sure what to do so I am asking ones that have been in this situation.

Sell...or hold on just in case I get the itch?

I have been in that same boat many times with many different hobbies. My predictiment now with kids is do i hold onto stuff so they can enjoy it one day as well. Most likely you will use the SC and the Blaster the most since you can ride them with kids/wife. But the easiest to store and takes up less space is the SJ... So I would sell the vision and keep the rest. :)

Learn from my past mistakes: I sold things in my younger years because I had to (buying a house, buying a ring, etc) then when I went to buy them back years later they are twice or 3 times the cost. So I didn’t. Now I sell things because I want to, and I don’t miss them. I agree with the above posts, sell what you think you won’t use again or your kids won’t use and don’t plan on buying again.

All younger guys go through hot and cold spells with their interests. Keep the ski if you can store and maintain it properly. If you dont want keep the fuel changed, battery charged, tagged, and otherwise 100% ready to ride then get rid of it. Some people are wired to maintain things and some just arent.

By asking youve already answered your question. And youre right on the money about the market value. One day youre gonna wake up with an itch to hit the water and feel the brap. So at least keep one.

I have been there raising two kids by myself, too much customer work, no playtime, but I never sold all my stuff, I always kept a couple of skis to ride regardless.

No kids. I hate selling anything due to the hassle. But it sounds like the a good first start is at least the blaster.
The sj is the wife's ski. She won't ride unless I do.
The sc and vision are both very low maintenance since I haven't started then since the rebuilds.

About 15 years ago I sold off everything (including parts) that I had and got into another hobby. I lost interest in riding as well. After about a year the desire came back and I ended up becoming a hoarder and ended up with 10-12 running skis. Then about 2 years ago I sold off everything and now I just have one SJ. I think if you sell everything you will regret it. If you do, keep your favorite ski and just store it away. The desire to ride will come back.

Side note: I believe I sold you a RN hull around 2007-2008. You drove to Florida to pick it up. Wonder if you still have it?

We hadn't ridden more than a couple times in the last 8-9 years so we were in the same situation. I always said I would never sell them but after they sit for 4 years, you really start to wonder if you'll ever come back around to them. Then they both fire right up and you enjoy them for a weekend so you decide to sit on them for another 4 years.

With an upcoming move at the time and crazy market prices, we finally decided to sell ours last year and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The skis went to a great home and are actually being ridden. I miss seeing them in the garage but I don't miss how much space they took up.

I still identify as a Stand-up rider though so good luck getting rid of my presence in the ski community. :)
