Freestyle Stupid foothold!

Was doing some testing for Erik @ True Performance today. I am a sissy when it comes to cold water so I was wearing my dry suit and (don't laugh) crocks. My feet inside the suit slide in and out easy. Anyway, I wasn't paying attention I went to kick in and friggin missed the footholds on the Rickter and hit the side of the rear gun whale. I think I broke two toes! Now I know why people wear shoes.

Ugh, nice, been there myself, dont recall riding without shoes on a stand up since. My pinky toe was sitting at a 90 degree angle to my foot after catching it on the tray!

On a side note, it was nearly 70 degrees yesterday and there was this GIGANTIC yellow hot ball in the sky in Virginia. I wasn't familiar with what it was. I am used to 40 and rain....... for the last 5 months. I swear, I thought I had relocated to Seattle.
