Is there something wrong with new members asking questions like that? Would you have liked to be limited to one forum only when you first joined?

BTW, your first 5 posts are below. What if you would have been restricted to a 'noob' forum for your first 5? I'm not trying to be a dick, I just think some people forget what it was like to be new here. I don't like having a requirement of 5 posts to be able to send a PM, but that's a primary method for spammers so in the interest of everyone, I have to have it in effect.

Our dock deck sits about 4.5' from the lakebed (usually knee deep water there) on the side nearest the seawall. Building a ramp isn't really an option. I was wondering is anyone has fabbed up a jib crane and if they have any pics of it. I want to be able to pick a standup up and put it on the deck then lift a couch up just out of the water for storage.

Here is the dock

and here is the type of jib crane I am considering but with a fixed position electric winch at the end
